Here it is! The news so many of you have been waiting for…. yes, Sukie’s scones and coffee morning is coming back!!

We would love to let more people know about our coffee mornings - a great place for people to meet old and new friends - so please like review and share our page, ands don’t forget our ulterior motive is to use all the money we raise to make a real difference to young lives through feeding and education.
See you in September 😁👍🏼 ☕️🧁🍰

The smallest school that we support is Mashila, a lovely little school in the countryside, fairly close to Umodzi school.
The school has had some problems in the past, finding the right teachers for its rural setting, but, with the help of Louis and his team at Umodzi school, the local parents and community are coming together to clear land for sports, exercise and school projects.
With the new teachers in place (supported through Opportunities Zambia), and an increasing school role, we are excited to see this school go from strength to strength!
Did you notice a few Tweedbank Thistle shirts ?

Our wonderful Mandalitso children are back at school for a new term. They have all done really well and have good school reports. We have given each child a school sweater and a new blanket for the winter.

I was in Seville recently - famous for their amazing oranges which were literally falling off the trees, creating a wonderful orangey aroma.
Of course this made me think of Sukie’s magical marmalade - have you tried it? It has a rich gooey consistency and the most amazing flavour, that really ought to put hairs on your chest 😆!
If you haven’t tried it yet, why not come to our next bake sale and coffee morning on 22nd February 10 -12 and pick up a jar?
Also as a special treat for cheese fans, Sukie will be making her ‘limited edition’ Stilton scones - this is in addition to the regular cheese, fruit, cherry and plain scones.
There are of course lots of other wonderful baked goods, and if you haven’t ever tried the coffee and walnut cake, the shortbread or the ginger nuts you are missing out!
Come and join us for a tea or coffee, served with scones butter and of course jam and cream! See you on the 22nd 🙂
